Reason: didnt mention year of car
i believe u have to fold down the seats, remove the side bolsters, remove the retaining clips that hold the back shelf on, remove the shelf and then access the speakers through the inside.. quite a pain if you ask me.. and just curious, are u planning to upgrade your system? if so, ditch the rears and just go with a good component set up front
It's a pain in the ass...I can't give you an exact step by step procedure, but here is a general guide:
Take off the seat bottom cushion, remove the two side pieces, and fold down the seat back cushion. If you want, you could take off the C-pillar covers also. Now remove all the child seat hook things on the panel and the brake light cover. Go in the trunk and remove all the little clips holding the panel down and it should slide towards the front of the car.

u do if u plan of getting to the bolts hold the two side cushions.. .. than fold the seat down.. remove the two side pastic pillar covers ( two bolts behind a round cover ) remove all the clips, child hooks, and 3 brake light near the package tray . than it pops out
i dont think there was any clips in the trunk that needed to be removed

im able to access those bolts by pushing the seat down without removing it
thanks for the help all you guys...ive took out the cushions on the side and the black/grey felt covers. What do i do now? I think you guys want me to remove the tan plastic pillars but I do not know how to do that.
The reason I need to change my back speaker is because my little brother blew them up because he thought he was cool. Now i am puting in audiobahn 3/4 way speakers in the rear. I plan on upgrading the front too but not much time for that yet.
Please post any helpful replys as I am hanging on to every idea. Thanks all you guys again TN is the greatest.

i think u would be better off playing your music through the blown speakers than to replace them with audiobahns lol..
Getting at those rear speakers is a royal PITA.I dont no why they just cant install them OEM' s from underneath.Anways here's a pic of a Kicker 6x9 I had at one time.... and another shot with baffle.....

dont think its much of a baffle.. more of an adapter plate.. i had to do the same for the front for some huge speakers.. since it would hit the window when u roll it down
