Replacing Rims with 18's on Camry SE

Ok, I'm not too sure about tires and rims but I want the replace the default 2008 Camry SE rims with the TRD 18" alloy. I think I have 17's on them now. Don't know if my tires would go well with them so asking here. What do I need to know about getting these? Will I need new tires or can I use the default ones.

I'm not getting them at the toyota dealership since they overprice there. I found some sites that sell them for about 200 each. I can just buy them and have it installed for me at some place right?

your stock rims are 17". you will need new tires for the TRD 18"s. buy those two, bring it to a tire shop for mounting and balancing, and also get an alignment.

*thread jack* does anyone know a good place to go where i can get some test fitments for tires on my new wheels? i asked bridgestone to do it and they werent down with it. probably could have heckled them to do it but was tired. i want a 225 vs 215 width for clearance in the back and front... i need to avoid 'custom rim' places at all costs. im in jackson MS and these places down here are shady to say the least!

Balancing isn't necessary on new wheels, but these are a different rim size-- they will need an alignment. Might want to wait a week or so? Its not entirely necessary to get them alignment right away. (correct me if I'm wrong)

Tire/wheel replacement does not require an alignment. It may be a good idea if you haven't had one in a while. No sense ruining new tires.

You got it backwards desentrix... Balancing is necessary when tires have been mounted on rims, new or used. You could wait on an alignment. If the car tracks straight, and your tires do not have improper wear, then you should be ok.

I have the TRD 18" wheels + OEM Michelins already mounted for sale. You can pay the ridiculous $2000+ from the dealer or you can talk to me first.

Ya cant beat that deal as long as the rims have not been curbed and the TRD rims are $2K+ I have them on my SE with Mich's Tires 225 45 18. If you want a good tire for cheep the Nexen tire is fair for a cheep price made in Korea I think but a nice tread design and rated high speed.

18" 10-spoke? i almost got those but i think they're ugly and are still too small for the camry. you need 19"s.

Thats what I meant. I assumed that he knew since he would have to buy new tires for the rims, they would automatically be mounted/balanced.

And the alignment could be done when it settled in.
