Gen5 2005 car battery and/or alarm problem

My car was in a parking garage for a week (not sure that matters, but thought I would be exhaustive) and I drove it home from the airport yesterday with no problem. It started fine and I drove it to the a couple of stores today, but when I hit the unlock button at one of the stores, the alarm went off and the car wouldn't start as if the battery were dead. I jumped it with my girlfriend's car and drove it around long enough that the battery should have been back to normal. When I went to leave my girlfriend's place, the same thing happened (alarm going off for no reason and dead battery systems) and I jumped the car again so I could drive home.

I am really hoping this is just an issue with a dead battery, but was unaware why the alarm would go off if this was happening. I should also add that it is damn cold here and there has been a lot of snow the last few days. I am really hoping to be able to get this figured out tomorrow (Sunday) so that I don't have a problem getting to work on Monday. Any help would be greatly appreciated

is your battery holding the charge? how long did u drive it around for? i would take it to autozone to have the battery tested. they do it for free. also, is your battery corroded around the terminals at all? if they are, give them a good clean with a wire brush and a mixture of baking soda and water.. a bad connection is all it could be. thats happened to me before

I am planning on finding an Autozone now. I have a feeling that its not battery related (unfortunately) because it has jumped itself with relative ease three times in two days and the alarm still goes off whenever I try to open the car.

So, what's the alternator voltage at fast idle with all accessories turned off? What's the battery voltage with the engine stopped for 2 minutes?
