^ a ton of people in South Florida (near Boca Raton) have done that to Gen 3's, 4's and 5's ... i saw so many when i was down there this summer, i was surprised

You see many in Florida for a few reasons, the disproportionate number of retirees (senior citizens) and the fact that South East Toyota does this to a fair number of cars before placing them on the lot (port installed, if you will). My uncle's poor Solara is two tone brown with the 'rag' top.

But I don't get WHY? OK it's given that older folks like these things...but why do they like 'em?
because it gives it more of a Lux & mature look ... i think it looks fine, if youre older
its not like they changed much or added anything ugly, just a simple rag-top attachment ... i wouldnt do it myself, but i dont see anything wrong with it

They like Cadillacs but realized they're POS cars and that Camrys are awesome. So they combine the vinyl top feature with a Camry and....this is the result.
