Gen5 Tooo Slow

I have a 02 Camry LE and I recently just changed my air filter (engine one) because when my foot isn't on the brake or gas the car goes wayyyy too slow. After I changed it it still is like that. What else could be causing that?

Another posting that makes no sense. Are you saying the engine idles too slowly, or are you saying that the engine lacks power? Or something else? If you want usable answers, please provide usable questions.

are you saying that when youre not giving the car gas it decelerates and the RPMs go down? because the car is supposed to do that.
and other than that camrys arent the fastest vehicles arouund, and an air filter adds no viable power really....just improves airflow by a miniscule amount.

thats how its supposed to be....the purpose behind idling is so it keeps the car going and conserves gas by idling around the 1k rpm range. its normal and i doubt youd wanna make it idle higher

i would love to bash the newb but i feel bad.. ive acted an asshole to customers at work all day today and i think ive had my fill lol(damn retail!)..

i think what he means is that he is feeling engine braking. check that your car is in D and not any other gear. clean out your TB, the butterfly valve may be sticking. how much does it slow down when u take your foot off the gas and at what speeds does this happen?

ok say i just turn the ignition on and the car is in park. With my foot on the brake i put the car into drive, without my foot on the gas as. I'm talking about that particular instance when i haven't even pressed the gas.

other than that i dont really kow how to help you as ive never driven the car

dont take it as me trying to bash you. i wasnt at all....i just had no idea what u were asking
im always glad to help if i can

1. type proper sentences so we can understand you better
2. are u saying that u want the car to roll by itself while in drive and not giving it any gas? if thats the case, check your tire pressure. also check that your brake calipers arent sticking. i really dont see a problem with this as you dont want the car to move a lot by itself

Sounds like your car is broken.......you should immediately post your Camry on sale on ebay and buy a Chevrolet Malibu.
