Brake Pedal

So there I was....

Sittin @ the drive-thru waiting for my food, when I noticed that my brake pedal (the whole assembly), has about a 1/4 inch of play when moving it from side to side.

Not compressing the pedal itself, but actually moving it and the arm its attached to from side to side.

Anyone else's Camry do this?

I ask because I dont want to be chugging along and all of a sudden my whole brake assembly falls on the ground.

Mine does

Check where the pedal attaches or pivots for something loose. I don't remember my pedal moving side to side.

My parking brake handle was loose and I could wiggle it about 1" side to side. It turns out the bracket that holds the brake handle was loose and needed to be tightened down.

Yeah?? Thats cool.

I mean, at least I am not the only one. If this is normal, then my bad for posting this. I've just never seen this before. I think I will have them (the dealer) take a look at it when they do my first oil change.
