If i can get a copy of the 7.1 Nav disc, I will make an ISO image with the modified Loading file so you can still override. I will then host the image for those interested in trying the new image "for education purposes only".
Even most of the ebay nav dvds seem to be non oem anyway. I ordered 2 different generations. One arrived, one on its way.
Yes Jessenj, I would very much like to get my hands on an image file. I am wondering what generation navigation is that modified loading file for? Is it maybe universal (for all nav gens)?
i dont think gen 5 nav dvd 7.1 is compatible with hybrid disc for whatever reason, 6.1 was fine
Yes it is. I am running 5.1 firmware with 7.1 maps. It worked on the first time and I did nothing special to make the DVD other than use Roxio with default settings.

Oh yeah ... I guess I'll be looking for a deal on the 7.1 DVD! So who knows what dealer has the BEST price on the 7.1 Map DVD??

I have the 7.1 disc and wonder what needs to be done to modify the iso to unlock limits. Any suggestions? I already made an iso and backed it up to DL DVD and it works fine, but I would like to modify image if possible.
I would like for my wife to be able to change the bluetooth profiles and change POI on the GPS while we are moving. When you start moving, several other features are locked out. I have not made a complete list yet, but it is annoying.
I'd avoid hosting an illeagl copy (yes that is what it is) of software.
Set up a torrent and that at least protects you.
With the size if the image, I doubt anyone here has a place to store it plus bandwith to support people copying it. And if you do, then you know the high risk of using your personal site.
I have a 2008 Scion xD and have the 7.1 Navigation Disc. I will do whatever to figure out how to get a "hybrid" disc so I can override the Navigation while driving and DVD while driving. Someone shoot me an email (prestonjensen@mac.com) on what I should do, even if hosting the whole disc on a torrent or something.
