I was looking around ebay to buy an oil cap for my camry, i just want to know how important is an oil cap?
i seen fake trd oil cap for about 32 dollar with an Radiatorcap. It look pretty nice since it got the Trd logo on it. But when i looked at the real TRd one it cost about 50 dollar, just for the oil cap.
Well, You need a cap. Whether it be a fake TRD cap, or the real thing, as long as it screws on and doesnt leak oil your fine.

I think JSM will validate this the cap also keeps water and dirt out and the oil in. When its real cold condensation can form when the cold air rushes into the motor through the open oil fill hole. You don't want water in the oil bad JuJu.
The Toyota OEM caps are plastic; any cap designed to fit the engine should work OK. These aftermarket caps look better but the stock cap works just as well (and costs much less).
