5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Eventhough it was only Rocketace and me but we hung out for over 2 hours just talked about our mods, he drove my car and vice versa. Imagine if we have like 10 Camrys.
Here are some photos.

that white hybrid looks like its begging to be lowered lol
if i was down there in cali i would have loved to join your meet. too bad im stuck here in vancouver, bc and so far there are only two of us here with camrys modded.
maybe we can set a giant meet for next spring, maybe meet somewhere in between like portland or seattle or something.

Moky,
Yeah that white hybrid belong to Rocketace. He wants to lowered it but affraid it won't work because of a Hybrid sagging issue (extra weight in the rear)
Any suggestions? Would a coil over work better because it's adjustable height? Thanks.

yeah i would suggest coils. he can try the ksport coils from benca1 and set it to a stiff setting in the rear so as to support the sagging issue. he can also do what other people did, trd in the front and SE in the rear (although the spring rates might differ a bit)

Checkout Flopshot (I believe that's his username) from greenhybrid.com. He lowered his hybrid using SE oem springs & TRD springs ....I'm not sure if he's a member here ...

Yes, he is a member here. In fact, he is one of the first Gen6 with GS rims.

Thanks man. I'm done modding with this car. The only 1 thing left is HID retrofit. I'm waiting for a set from JSM1248.
done modding? aww cmon...you're not going to change rims anymore? lol im always looking forward to see what new set of wheels you have since iirc that you changed rims almost every month
your car look great lammy. turn signals on the side mirror housing would look good with your car
Thanks for the great pics and for hanging out for over 2 hours together, lammydi. It was great for a 2-car meet Hopefully, there'll be a bigger meet in San Diego soon so that we can see more of you guys and gals outta here...
Yeah, my car is begging for it to be lowered. I know .. I know .. I know... I'm waiting on lammydi's contact at a Toy dealership for a set of TRD springs for the front. I'd probably want the SE springs in back as well. If I can get the car lowered by about 1", that'd be great. Otherwise, I may just buy taller tires to reduce the huge gap in my wheel well.
BTW, lammydi's car is great when seen up close. He has put in the time to make his ride so sporty. I rode it around some and loved it. Wally, you must not sell that car... its a keeper. Let me speak to your wife about it if you want me to
Let's do it again sometime with more people joining. Maybe grab some beer and some food too. Will be great.

Likewise, it was so comfortable drive your 08 TCH even with those 18" GS rims.
Oh, you don't need to talk to my wife about keeping the car. She wants to keep the car. It's me that want V6 and rear vents for the kids.
I thought it over. I'm keeping this car until Gen7 V6!!!
