Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
under your dash to the left of your steering wheel there is a square plastic cover. pop it off and you will see the fuses behind it. look at the back of the cover and it will tell you where the fuse is and what type of fuse to replace it with.
Come up with a better description for this than 'car charger'. I was initially picturing a large transformer plugged into the garage wall.
Is the ignition switch on? The lighter sockets are normally cold/disconnected from the battery by the ignition switch. Accessories or engine needs to be running for it to be hot.

I have a cell phone charger that plugs into the car's power outlets. I also have a power cord for GPS that plugs into the power outlet of the vehicle. None of them work, in either power outlet ('02 LE camry has 2)
At first I thought the cell phone charger went bad, and gave it someone else to try - they said it's working.
So there is something about this vehicle that disables power outlets.
I had a problem like this before. What i did was remove the plastic shroud around the socket. You'll need to remove the cupholder's cover first I believe, then you can remove the one around the cig lighter socket. Once you do this, check the connection behind the socket...mine fell out, wasn't clamped on properly, so I just squeezed it in with a pair of pliers.
It's most likely the problem I believe because I switched out fuses as well and thought that was the cause.
Problem is, it's *both* power outlet sockets that don't work.
The one between the seats has been used very rarely, and it suddenly quit working at the same time as the other - there has to be a common denominator.
well u could try his solution maybe u hit a bump that knocked them both loose.....you never know if its not fuses and they both dont work and stopped at the same time a common denominator could be a bump that knocked them loose

Since you first described the cigarette lighter plug as a car charger, I'm guessing you know little about how electrical systems work, and though you checked the fuse, you didn't know what to look for or checked the wrong fuse. Go back and check your work at the fuse box under the dash as well as the box under the hood. Both of these didn't fail because a wire came loose at the same time. You have blown a fuse. Find it by pulling fuses and looking at them. Or you are checking for power with the key turned off. Turn it on. It just really is this simple.

well i didnt think it was a bump either i was just saying if he was sure its not a fuse then check the wires it couldnt hurt.....BUT i doubt the fuses were all checked check more then just cig fuse if there the power outlet fuses i think they might be on a different fuse i remember one of my moms fuses for her radio was "dome" under the hood, which made me feel stupid i was looking for like radio or something like that but i never noticed the light was out too so i think the fuse for those might be on something else or what woud be funiier like previous said turn the key to ON, lol if thats the problem then you shouldnt be driving at all.
