I have 04 se 4 cylinder camry. Recently temprature dropped to 26 degree.
Now car just flashes light and honk the horn. I can not start it.
It seems security is stuck. I do not have the small box to arm or disarm, all i have is the key
I just installed new battery today. Problem starts when the tempraure falls below 36 it starts honking itself and the head lights start flashung and i can not start it

please guide

One of the sensors for motion, glass breakage, etc may be over sensitive, the low temp is causing it to activate. Locate the sensors and test them.

I think what he is saying is that he does not have the key fob to disarm the alarm system

With some alarm systems, when you put in a new battery, the alarm system defaults to on and will go off causing the car to not start.

He only has the metal key, not the key fob to disable the alarm, any way to disable the alarm without the key fob?

I guess keeny's point is most logical one thing is obvious that this is alarm problem. How can I get new FOB with mathching frequency can toyota issue me a FOB with the matching frequency or is there any other way to disarm the security

you can go to toyota and buy it from them but its pretty expensive(about 120 per key fob). or you can purchase your own OEM key fobs online from ebay for 5-10 bucks and program them yourself(search the internet for programming, its out there). it takes 5 mins to program

You have to get the right key fob, meaning you must identify your alarm system by model and get the fob that matches it.

I agree buying off ebay is the best way to go and most sellers will give you the instruction sheet on how to program it. I bought one for a non-toyota alarm that way and it worked out great, but I had the actual model number of my existing key fob to search on.

If you are certain it is a toyota alarm, you can get the key fob model number from toyota and search ebay for it.

Put the key in the door lock cylinder and turn it to the unlock position, remove the key and try to start the car.
