Wheels. Help Please !

Im thinking about going 20x8.5 in the front, and 20x9.5 in the rear. The wheels I want have both a 40 offset in the back and front. Does anyone know if this set-up will work out for me without running into any problems, such as rubbing or anything? Please let me know. The wheels I want are the TORK REVOS for a 2007 CAMRY SE.

Why would you stagger a FWD car in the first place?

Wow. No offense, but thats a completely idiotic idea.

Most people do not venture to go wider than 8.5, yet you want 9.5?

Second, as mentioned... Why get a staggered setup on a FWD car?

If you want a staggered look, you might want to look into Axis rims since their lips give that illusion...

Gen5 ummm

anyone else think that 18 is the biggest you should get...i just think that like huge wheels with what appears to be just black duct tape wrapped around them looks stupid....i like 17 and 18's would fit nice on a camry but thats my opinion.

ORRR what we have here in tucson a lot is the cars with the like 10" wheels that are like 10" out also that looks ridiculous!!! buy tires that fit your car.

There's a member on this forum who tried 20x9 up front and 20x10 in the back. Here's some pics:

Any idea on the offsets he running? I read that Epsilon couldn't run a 9.5 in the rear with a +40 offset when he had the 19" Axis Shine.

I am running 8.5 on my rear and front 20s. It rubs. Dont even think about 9.5, unless gen 6 is different in that aspect. you shouldn't do it. You could if you roll up your fenders.

I PM'ed him about his wheel specs awhile back and this is what he told me:

"Front offset +35 20x8.5 not 9 my bad and tires 245/35/20
Rear offset +45 w/ 3mm spacer to clear strut so offset went to +42 and rear tires 275/35/20
The rear need to be fender rolled or cut to get rid of the slight rubbing."

And my response:

"I'm suprised the 20x10 +42 cleared the rear since I couldn't even get a 19x9.5 +40 to clear the rear struts. The wheel shop even got me to show me that it wouldn't clear. So I'm now kinda confused since you can fit a 10 +42 wide wheel."

Nonetheless, the wheels look great on his wife's ride.
