Canada tire selection for Camry SE 2006

Hi All,

My tires are in need of replacement. I am looking for an all season for Camry SE 2006. I live in Toronto were we get some snow but mostly wet roads and cold. I am thinking of Nokian WR or Yokohama Advan. What does anyone think about this? What are tour replacement tyres?

Goodyear TripleTreds. Always highly rated, particularly in wet weather. My wife had some, so I got them on my Camry. A bit more road noise than the OEM Michelin's, but WORTH IT!

i live vancouver, bc. i use nokian WR and they have exceptional grip in the snow and rain. i have it in both my camry and highlander and they grip really well during wet roads and the amount of snow we get here. they are great all-weather tires as opposed to the traditional all-seasons.

just as OEM replacements the michelin harmony series is a good tire but to get something with similar tread pattern and similar performing, the goodyear viva 2 is also a good tire and it's S rated - honestly the viva 2 is a really good tire for about $100 each

as someone had also mentioned, the yoko avids are also a really good replacement. if you want to bump up the performance a bit, instead of going 215/60, go with a 225/55/16 - a bit wider footprint and a bit less flex in the sidewall

Thanks for all the feedback. I am going on Wednesday to get the new tires. I plan to get the Yokohama avids. I am going to check with Nantucket Tires about the Nokian just in case. But, I will not go wrong with your help in your experiences. I like the grip I get with the Camry SE as possed to the LE model.

Thanks again, I realize this can be a recuuring question about tire selection. But, it probably is the most important decision to make.

agreed - tire selection can be tough but it's good to take time and research before purchasing

I have a thread here somewhere about tire selection for a Gen 5.5, I agree, I have decided to get the Yoko Avids as well. I am just waiting/looking for some kind of deal. My OEM crapstones have a few miles left in them, so I have a little time.

Let us know what you think when you get about 1000 miles on them

Alos, check and see what speed rating is on yours, mine came with V and I am going to replace with V, some tire shops around here say the H is fine, but I don't believe them
