Hey I've been lookin around at gettin some HIDs for my magnetic gray 2007 Camry LE for a while now, but was wondering where the best place is to get them from.
Also, what would be the best company value and quality-wise?
I've heard of Apexcone as good for cheap, and Kaixen as really high quality but also expensive.
And one final thing...I want a slight blue (not purplish) tinge in my lights, 6000K or 8000k?
I personally think that even 6000K is more blue than useful (higher Kelvin lights put out less lumens). But if you are insisting on having a blue look, 6000K is the maximum useful color temperature that you should consider.

From reading threads in the past on here, another alternative to XenonDepot's HID Conversion kit is to buy OEM ballasts and modify the headlight housing to accept authentic Philips D2S burners. If you're interested in this route, look up one of the very long HID thread in the past and if I remember correctly, it was Epsilon who pointed this alternative out with pictures and evidence.

Glad to know someone is learning something on these forums.
You read my mind!!! My next set will also be 4300K since 5000K is a bit green for my eyes.
It's not so much the green as I've never really noticed that before. I'm not sure if the reason is because I'm using a PnP kit with stock projectors or if it's because I have 5000K bulbs, but whenever I see a car on the road with stock HID's, they always seem to light up the road better.

there are many factors which would be contribuiting to this, however the one major one is :
it is because you are using a projector designed for halogen ....
the stock HID projector cars have optics designed for HID
and yes, there is a difference.....
Head over to HID planet for more info ....
