Gen5 Block heater for 2AZ-FE?

Is there such thing as a block heater for the 2AZ-FE Camry??

I've searched high and low and found nothing specifically for this motor.

Block heaters are generally generic and not made for a Specific engine.

yeah but i don't want to give toyota any reason to void my warranty.. if there's an "oem" block heater, i'd like to use that.

Call your local dealer and ask if there is one available.

As far as Warranty, a block heater does not tap into any of the vehicles electronics so that shouldnt be a problem. The only bad thing a block heater could do is cause a coolant leak. If a conventional freeze plug style is used.

ya saw that post venom, thanks.

JSM: yes but i've seen dealers void powertrain warranties because of tire/rim upgrades done on cars - just want to be careful

Legally, a dealer cannot decline warranty coverage unless they can prove an aftermarket component caused a specific failure.

lol, and with a camera phone to!

I just got lucky on that photo since the road was straight with no bumps, I probably took about 10 photos total, most of which were blurry.

Try living in Fairbanks Alaska, I saw it get down to -60 F 3 days after my "lower 48" car was delivered. I had to make a rush to get it "winterized" for AK. What is the coldest any one else has seen???

I've never seen it that cold before, I'd say -20 was probably the coldest i've seen here.

We have experieinced -38 Celcius in the Ottawa area in the early 90's, which is about -36 F. It stayed cold for several weeks, freezing up water pipes four feet underground and heaving some foundations. No fun. I used my block heater during that time. It was -27 C here a couple of nights ago, now it's raining, go figure.
