Oh, I think this IS special!

Not so much that it's supposed to be a hybrid, or anything to do with the styling, but, to me, it's a return to "the small pickup" that Toyota, Datsun (Nissan), and others sold so successfully before everything got so much, much bigger.

Yes, let's have the mini-pickups again, and they should be inexpensive, too.
