Alright guys, i got a 08 camry LEV6 (WITHOUT THE ADD-ON KIT) and trying to purchase some rims...but don't know which to get...19's or 20's.
Alot of my friends say to get the 20's but i don't want it to affect the ride...
Any help with the pros and cons for people who already has it on their ride will be appreciated...
Also, i don't want to have to get low profiles just cuz it tends to make the ride bumpier...but at the same time i want it to look clean and to look like it fits the wheel base...
I dont have 19 or 20s, but I plan on adding 20s very soon.
On my gen 4 i had 18s, general rule as you start going bigger from stock size your ride quality will differ. The bigger you got the more differences you will notice.
Go for 20's. The bigger gen 6 needs 20 to look right.
On my '95 I 1st had 17's and thought they were huge. Then I got my 19's and now I want 20's.
Believe me if you think you might want 20's save yourself the headache and get them now. + tires are cheaper with even sizes.

thanks again....from the newbie...
You will need low profiles for either rim to avoid rubbing (assume you want to lower the car to look right). Personally, I think the 20" look too big for the Camry body dimensions - does not go with the flow and the wheel well diameter. Many TN members have 19" and they look much better. Tires will be 235/15 or similar already in that case. ..20" even lower profile. Simply check some pictures on TN or Cardomain - many 19" and 20" examples here - pick what you like best personally.

Don't let your friends influence your decision. You don't want to affect the ride then stay 18". It get bad at 19" then worse 20". Then you want to look clean that means you'll want to lowered it then the ride will be even stiffer.
For the clean look that fits the wheel base (VIP style.....I'm sure Moky will chime in ) it will depend on the width and offset of your wheels. Look around TN at a few members here like Epsilon, Trojan, Flopshot, Moky, Netforcer, 07Toycamry, Mistabullet, and a lot more members that I don't remember at the moment which I'm sure they will flame me!
I had 20" then 18" due to quality ride. I like the way my 20" rims look over the 18" but love the quality ride of the 18".

x2
20's would look perfect with the proper wheel and tire fitment including drop, especially on an SE model since the lip kit gives the Camry more bulk.
Here's a nice fitment look for 20"s on a red SE with Tein Springs from a Solara: 225/35/20, 20x8.5
Barely any fender gap on this baby.
But I also agree with what LammyDi was pointing out. Ride comfort will take a huge hit but hey, it pays to floss doesn't it? It's what's been keeping me from upgrading to 20"'s.
It seems as though comfort is on top of your list. I recommend 18's or 19's.
Stay away from deep dish wheels unless you plan on going 20's with low profile tires (Yes it will be harsh).
I have 20's on my SE (comes with the factory body kit). Looks good except I need to lower it and go down 1 tire size (It's currently 1" bigger than stock diameter).
Overall, I love them (I actually like the harsh ride).

yes seeing that comfort is a priority for you, it would be better to stick to 18s and have a thicker sidewall and considering that the LE doesnt have a kit, 18s would be just right of a fit. the SE needs 19s or 20s because the kit makes the rims look small.
for practicality's sake, whether you switch to 19s or 20s, you wont notice the diff between the ride quality of 19s and 20s. you will only notice the diff between stock and big wheels.
other factors also come into play, are you considering on lowering your car?
I had 19's on my CaddySTS, and I would recommend that you go with 20's just because of the tires. Because 19 is not as popular of a size, the cost of the tires is ridiculous compared to 20's. The same model tire would cost $175 for 20's but $280 for 19's. I used up two sets of tires with that car, so there was almost a $1000 difference in cost by the time I sold the car, which would have paid for the wheels in the first place!
