Undersea Adventure – NOT

Imagine my surprise when I looked at my GPS screen (2007 XLE) and it showed that I was out in the Pacific Ocean just of the Coast of Half Moon Bay and not 40 miles due East in Hayward CA like I thought I was. I know we had a really bad storm out here this week, but I think I know the difference between dry land and water.

So I reached through the back seats into the trunk, pulled out my mask, flippers and swim trunks just to be on the safe side, and got out of the car. HA! I was on solid ground just like I thought.

Thanks to the postings on this site I quickly found the TSB EL012-06 about Navigation Errors. I called my local Toyota dealer and they have ordered a new disk which should be here in the next few days.

Might as well buy land in Nevada now. Soon it will be ocean front property anyways.
