5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Yes, I know you're probably thinking "oh god not another one." But I've done my fair share of searching and haven't really found the answer I'm looking for. I have a 2007 camry LE I4. I'll be installing the HID kit from mod-express soon and just had a few questions if anyone would be so kind.
I don't have a whopping $500 to do a full retrofit so will my hid's look horrible on stock projectors? How do they really compare in the way they light up the road and how they look? Pictures of hid's on stock projectors would be greatly appreciated.
Also I have hub-caps so I want to purchase different wheels eventually. Will stock is300 wheels (5 star) fit on my camry? What bolt sizes do they use? Sorry for all these noobishly retarded questions, I have a really hard time having this site load on my browser. 2/3 of the times it loads the top portion where the banner is and the rest is blank. Thanks!
Oh one last thing, I want a SE grill, where can I get my hands on one?

I am not to keen on HID info, but for the grille, you can get one at;
To answer your question on the IS300 rims fitting, yes they will fit. Both the camry and IS300 have a bolt pattern of 5x114.3 but you might want to double check the offset of the IS300 wheels.

For the HID pictures, just click on the link of HID in my signatures.
Oh, and welcome to TN.

If you put HID in your car, you have to cover up the "squirrel spotters"! If you don't, you will be blinding people on the road.

Its pretty much the same thing. The link that Slick provided is for a Toyota parts company out of Philly I believe. The one I provided is from Washington state.
Not that it matters, but just pick which ever shop is closer to you for shipping reasons.

Xenondepot from what I understand has a reputation now of producing reliable HID kits. This is not common in the world of pnp HID kits. There are a lot of kits that will stop working within a year. Relays allow a low current circuit to control a high current one. In the case of HIDs, it will allow your headlight switch to control when your HID ballasts get power from your vehicle's battery.

The top of the line XenonDepot Conversion HID Kit uses OEM components, which is more reliable and better quality. If you want, you can still use OEM components and make your own OEM kit for half the price by modifying the stock projectors to accept D2S burners. The stock Stanley halogen projectors found on the '07+ Camry actually takes very well with aftermarket HID kits, but doing a HID retrofit is still the best solution for optimum lighting. But like people mentioned, be sure to cover up the squirrel spotters if you use an aftermarket HID kit.
