5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Hard to believe the 2009's will be out near the end of this month.
We just loaded a bunch from the allocation being built from the 14th on. No official dealer release date, but we expect them to be here no later than the first week of February if not the last week of January. As far as anyone can tell, the steering wheel will be a slightly different color, otherwise no known changes.
I guess the Gen6 include 2007,2008 and 2009 and the Gen6.5 will be 2010, 2011.
Then Gen7 will be starting with 2012?
Damn, I'm gonna have to wait that long for the Gen7.......

I'll never understand this so call future model year idea...
If I bought a brand new "2007" Camry in March of 2006...to me that's a 2006 model...did Toyota steal the Flux Capacitor from the De Lorean and bring models back from the future? I exported a few cars to Europe and the customs guys don't even want to look at the paperwork...they look directly at the sticker on the door panel to see when it was manufactured...and that's the model year they will process your paperwork on...

What color will the steering wheel be? I thought it is dark grey for the two tone grey interior, dark beige for the two tone beige interior, and black for the black interior. Of course this is what I've seen in the pics.

+1..sounds funny..shouldn't the steering wheel match the interior color? Changing the steeting wheel color only does not make any sense in my mind... ..changing some of the steering wheel control button functions would be much better aka try to change the radio/sat station from the steering wheel...anyone?
hmm i forgot about the Rolla remodel, my uncle is looking at buying one..he's sick of his gas hog Dodge Ram....but i'm going to try and talk him into a Camry SE V6 or a Matrix (he has a big dog that goes everywhere with him)
