Mine didn't seem like it at first either, then I just triple checked the tape job along the corners of the trunk lid before I drilled the holes, it lined up perfectly.

Holes were drilled. The template has tiny punch holes in the center of the circles. That is where you drill.

Then I added some little "dobs" of primer on the exposed metal on both sides of the trunk lid to prevent rust (thx lammy for the tip)...

Inserted bolts from spoiler, and tightened the nuts. It is pretty easy actually.

The hardest part was trying to keep my son from playing with the primer.

That look really clean. Well done.

Start to finish; about 40 minutes, ( I had my 2yr old hand me tools as I went along, getting him started at an early age! )...Thx for the comp. If you get a spoiler too, let me know and don't get the installation kit. I will just let you use mine to save you the 20 bucks for the kit.

Mine lined up on the corners, but it was about a hair off on the edges. As you are taping, start from one side then work your way to the other. Then just double check to make sure that both sides look exactly the same and that the template is taped off nice and smooth.

You would want to make sure you check it again, (just to be on the safe side) right before you drill holes into the trunk lid.

I was thinking of going from the OEM spoiler on my SE to the RKsport. Does anyone have experience with that swap? Holes line up or am I going to need to fill the existing and drill new ones? They claim it will cover the OEM holes, but after their claim in regards to a 'functional' hood, I am less than a believer of their claims

If I'm not mistaken, Epsilon has the RKsport spoiler on his ride.

you should ought to consider getting an exhuast tip (or "finisher"), it lends a nice touch.

I was just about to go out and look at some today. Thinking of going with a brushed aluminum tip instead of stainless or chrome since I am not doing the "chrome" theme.

That looks great! I've always wanted to get the rear lip spoiler, I just couldn't stand to think of drilling all the holes in the trunk, but thats a great idea on the primer!

I was a little hesitant at first too about drilling...its a hard concept to get over.

You are going to drill into a perfectly good piece of metal...but it all works out in the end.
