Gen6 Fog-light question.

I have an 08 se, i want to change out the fog lights to some yellow ones, or the jdm ones, I was wondering if the aftermarket oem fogs will plug and play to my car, or do I have to rewire stuff. please help.

As long as you get the same type of bulb (H11 I believe), then it will be as simple as removing the old bulb and installing the new one. Now if you get HID's instead (which I don't recommend), then there would be other wiring issues that would need to be done.

if your fogs currently on the vehicle now are factory/oem, stick with them. you'll find that for the most part, aftermarket oem fogs are not very good quality. once in a while you'll get lucky, but remember, you get what you paid for!

i would just change the bulbs to some yellow ones.

It sounds like he just wants to change the bulb, not install an aftermarket fog light kit (correct me if I'm wrong).

If you really want the yellow color go for it but for brightness, I think the stock is pretty much the most your gonna get. Whatever you buy may be equal to it but probly not brighter. I tried these MTEC Cosmos blue white H11 bulbs in my desk here (45 bucks down the drain) that get very hot to the point that they may damage the fog bulb fixture and their pretty dim considering they say 55w and 100w output. I think many have said good things about Nokyas for yellow fogs but stocks are staying in for me. I will only change them if I decided to change to HID. Stock lights so far are pretty good.

I received some yellow H11 NOKYA fog light bulbs today from an eBay auction for $18/shipped. They took me about 15 minutes to install (I jacked up the front of car to make it easier). They look great and are VERY bright. Now I need to get some whiter/bluer headlight bulbs. I'd post a pic, but it's hard to due justice to the color of these yellow bulbs for an amateur photographer like me
