I hope you're referring to the ebay projectors and not HID projectors. If you think HIDs projectors "hold back too much light", you're highly mistaken.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

shyea. last i checked (several years ago) halogen projectors haev about an 85% efficiency. today's hid projectors probably have at least 90% efficiency. that means 90% of the capsules output is used (excluding the part blocked by the shield of course).
i get what you're saying about a custom retrofit..and that's what i'm saying..i'm going to use the ebay headlight housing...get some TSX projectors..or something similar...cut out the ebay projector part and put the TSX ones in.....(i know there's a lot more work involved) but i'm not stupid enough to just use the halogen projectors i have now and throw an HID kit on my car.... Safety of others come first...glare = bad...

good for you! at least you're heading in the right direction i had a similar idea with the very same projectors that the OP posted, but when i opened them up, it was such shitty quality that i just threw them in the garbage. good luck with yours! i think it'll be difficult to shroud the TSX projectors considering the shape of the originals though.

Thanks for the encouragement (no sarcasm). I'm just in the planning stages, as stated in my other posts i still have a lot of reading up to do. But i do plan on trying atleast.
