5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
While this has been discussed numerous times as well as the suspension thread, for new members and old members alike, sometimes we still do have offset and tire calculation questions.
i have found 2 sites which may be key to helping us all understand wheel offsets and the like. these two sites calculate the difference when upgrading from OEM 16" or 17" wheels and tires to something bigger like 18", 19" or 20"
to also help us understand offset, here is a simple diagram which i have posted in several threads which some people might not see.
regarding flush and not flush fitment:
regularly we encounter the terms flush fitment. to clarify things,
FLUSH fitment means how well-lined up your wheels are with the fender.
here is an example of LOW OFFSET AND FLUSH FITMENT
on the other hand here is an example of a HIGH OFFSET AND NOT FLUSH
sometimes it also is referred to as "tucked in"
hope this helps us all in understanding offsets and FLUSH fitment as well.

2007 Super White CE 5-spd. Stock 4 Lyfe, well I have new driver side doors and side pillar.. are those mods?
As of March 1, another $2200 body shop bill due to deer attack..
Can we forward any new wheel fit threads automatically to the "rims-n-tires" page? ..traffic on this forum would go down immediately and noobies get their answers w/o sifting through 100's of posts.
Around this time of the year is when we have a lot of noobies join the forum...
More noobies more questions, more threads......It's all good.
sorry but i just love the gs setup on your car.. is it too much to ask for the specs of your tires, wheels and suspension. how much did you drop? is the ride comfort the same?
