Wheels turn when trans in N
I had my car on 4 stands yesterday doing an oil change and tire rotation. After I finished everything, I turned the car on to check for leaks from the filter. When I stepped out, I noticed the driver side front wheel was turning forward and went back and shut the car off. I did not check the passenger side front wheel. The rotation stopped as soon as I stopped the car. I verified several times that my car was in neutral when it was running. The car only ran for about 30 seconds like this.
Why does the wheel turn? I thought in neutral, there is no power applied to the wheels.
When in neutral with the front wheels on the ground, the car does not move however.
