5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I was told by a wheel shop that 20 by 9 inch wheels (in this case Axis Shine wheels) fit perfectly on my car with the proper offset. But another shop said 9 inches is too wide. Does anybody know if they would fit? Heres a pic
Yeah, it would depend on the offset. The wheels look awesome. A friend of mine has them on his Red 350Z (staggered setup). I'd get one if I had the money. 19 x 8.5 would probably be the better choice to avoid any possible risks of the wheel not fitting or rubbing. Let us know what you decide. Good choice of wheels though.
Man, another wheel thread..... I love this gen6 section.
LOL! The wheels that I would really like to see on our Gen 6 Camrys would be the Volk Racing GTF. I think it would look really sweet. I'm waiting to see if I get a tax return. Hopefully, I'd be able to afford it.

Yes, these are very nice. Everytime I go to Super Autobacs I just stand there and drool over them lol.
I prefer to get the 20 x 9 instead of 19 x 8.5 because of tires for the 19s. I would end up paying the same for both sizes.
Where are you purchasing these rims at? Performance Plus? They will make you sign some kind of waiver if you still choose to get tires that they would not recommend for your vehicle in terms of wheel and tire fitment.
I didn't c those at performance plus...it was Ranchill Motorsports in Bellflower that offered me the Axis Shine 20s
You can have PP custom order them for you. That's what I did with the Hiro's. They have the pricing on the Shine through PP's website.
Dang, I forgot about Ranchill. They have a very good rep. They have a very good rep when it comes to wheel repair and suspension upgrades. I'd put my trust in Ranchill rather than PP because Ranchill has more experience dealing with heavily modded cars in terms of wheel and tire fitment. How much they charging you for rims?
Ranchill wants $2000 out the door for Axis Shine 20 x 9 wheels with Falken Tires...Epsilon, u had Axis Shine on ur camry? U got pics?
You can take my 19" Axis Hiros off my hands for $800 plus I can hook you up with some wholesale prices on Marangoni tires. I've been meaning to replace my Vredestein 235/35/19s with some 245/35/19 Marangoni tires. According to the tire calculator 245s are closer to my stock 225 18s than 235 19s. Personally I thought the 235s were a little too thin.
With my 19s you won't have to worry about rubbing even if you lower your car.
