Auto Door Lock after leaving car

I have Toyota 2006 Camry XLE. When I bought it, it had feature of auto door lock in 60 seconds after leaving car. Once we turn off car take key out and close the door it will lock the doors in 60 seconds. Recently it stoped working, now I have to lock the door manually using remote (or key).
I went to dealership to get it fixed. Dealership did lookup using vin number and they said such feature never existed in this car. I told them that I have used it for over a year and they said no such feature existed.

Any one has such experience?

I will appreciate any help..........

Thanks,

My '07 doesn't do it and I would be fairly sure that your '06 works the same way, if you have the factory system.

The doors will lock after 60 seconds if they have been unlocked with the key fob and no doors have been opened in the 60 seconds.

If you can't find it in your Owner's Manual, I would say you were imagining it!!!!

Does your car have an aftermarket alarm system? I've never heard of any Toyota with this feature. Did you do something recently like change or disconnect the battery?

The car do not have aftermarket alarm. I have not changed battery or it never drained and needed jump start. I have Toyota alarm that came with the car. Today I spoke to the car sales man who gave me car, he says what both of you says.
It is hard to believe I was imagined when I also remembered it use to work.

Well I will leave it at this point.

Thanks to both of you for responding.

I wish that was on by default from the dealer. That is one option I will make sure the after market alarm/remote start has.
Does anyone on a preferred after market alarm system?

I looked through the owners manual for my 08 LE. It does not have the feature you remember.

At the end of the "door locking and unlocking" section in my manual are instructions on how to turn other automatic door lock functions on or off. (For example, "All doors are unlocked when the transmission is put in park.") The instruction steps are such that they could be done inadvertently. Pull out your manual and cycle through the functions. Who knows, maybe your car had the feature you remember and you accidentaly turned it off.
