Well, for those that have done the LED glove box mod, you know by now just like I do that the #74 WHP wedge base bulb from superbrightleds.com is not bright at all since only the tip lights up.
I was curious to what the people at superbrights will think of next to offer a better solution, and I got this reply;
"In a couple of weeks e will have a new 74 bulbs with 3 of those
High Power SMD LEDs, one on each side of the PCB and one on the
tip.
It will not quite be 360 degree but very close to it.
Thanks

forget the pnp .... this is what i have now, that i think i will toss in the glove box, along with alot of other places ..... (plates, dome, and maybe puddle lights)
great price, good quality, and amazing output (might actually be too bright).... just take 2-3 weeks to come from china....
only drawback is that it isn't pnp, but as wel know, the glove box light stinks mainly cause of how it is aimed in the box. a fastoon bulb would have been a much better bulb imo from toyota ...

Thanks for steppng up. I still need to post the pics of all my HP bulbs if no one has done so yet. I put the HP leds in the 2 map lights, the door/puddle lamps, and the license plate bulbs. I also put the 9 led festoon cluster bulb in as well as the HP led for the shifter light, all in white. Post the pics of the glove box when you can. Thanks!

Post pics man. I would like to see the difference in the HP's vs the regular LEDs some of us have been buying.

well jsut my 2cents, I bought my leds for the map lights and dome lights from superbright, and i must say I was a little dissapointed because they were not as bright as they say it would be. The dome light when on hurts my eye because its so dull. hope we can get some brighter leds soon to replace the dome light.

They're kind of pricey, but they are really bright. Plus installing them ain't that hard. You just need adhesive to stick them inside the dome once you plugged in the socket first. Prices vary from manufacturers and models. Mine cost around $40 for just the dome lights. Another $25 for the map lights. I remember a kit for the Prius cost over $100. that was insane. Also the parking lights shown in my sig are LEDs too.
