Feeler for peeps in MD/VA/PA: Selling my V6 exhaust system $650
I think i'm bored of my exhaust system already... hahaha... I was thinking of going single to pay homage to all the V6 Camrys before the Gen6... what do you guys think?
Yay or nay?
If I do go that route, it would mean that my system will be up for sale
EDIT: I have decided to sell my exhaust system for $650
Information/pics/sound clips can be found at http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/sh...d.php?t=218622
The condition is that I need a definite buyer. Not willing to ship because the exhaust is one unit without any flanges. Once committed you will need to wait until I buy parts for my new exhaust. It will be preferred for the buyer to follow me to my shop so that when my new exhaust is installed, my current exhaust can then be installed onto the buyer's.
I think you have no money in the stock market, because you seem to have it to burn right now. Leave it alone, drive it until the wheels fall off, and invest your money that will make money for you. What a doofus.

Whoa... somebody got up on the wrong side of the bed today...
As for piping, I'll be going 2.5" straight back
Stock is 2.5" to a 1.75" split
Right now I have 2.5" to a 2.5" split
So I'm hoping to gain a lil torque if I do go ahead with it
If you decide to go ahead and do it, you could race some people who know the I4 only comes with one exhaust.....them blow 'em away!!! And take their money to finance your sleeper investment! lol. But I personally love the dual look.

Seeing that everyone feels the need to be a smart-ass and does not get that some people like to modify their cars for fun I will answer.
A single exit exhaust will more than support the horsepower that you car is making. Overall the exhaust and mufflers will be cheaper and your car may even perform better if a good system is installed. There are 1200hp Supras and the such running single exit exhaust systems, so you should be more than OK.
The only downside I see to this is the notch on the drivers side bumper from where the stock exhaust is now at. What do you plan to do with that?
Although it does sound good, the drone has gotten to me, so i'm looking for a different setup with new mufflers with a silencer option, so i just wanted to throw in a few ideas and thought about going single...
And don't associate duals with V6 single for I4... all previous cams came with single exhausts, so please name the reasons... lets have some constructive criticisms
I'm pretty sure i'd get better gains by switching to single than dropping an i4
Just messin' with you.
If you go single exhaust and increase pipe diameter
the ususal decrease in low end tq. will happen correct?
Besides as soon as you floor the go pedal the 3.5L will give itself away
Why not leave the quiet linear power of the stock system.
What will you gain, maybe 5hp near the redline?

i think thats a good way of freeing up some torque and hp. i've seen many dual exhaust cars (s2000, m3, is350) here go single and they do time attack races and such. it is a more effective way of getting the car to fart because you dont lose pressure as you do on a split.
