Gen5 03 camry OBX header installed and QUESTION!

whats up guys first post here.

first off

ok heres my question. anyone know the taillights from the 05 camry se fit the 03 camry se?
i think they would cus the body lines look the same im just wondering about the mounting places as well

if anyone knows pleeease tell me!
==================================================
well i have the obx header installed as well as the injen intake now so ive seen people ask about the obx header and what not so here is a break down of things.

injen intake short ram - fits perfectly no custom shit just straight install and it sounds great. power? yes some gain i can tell.

OBX header - i think these are awesome there are pros and cons though so here we go.
1. the obx header people say is cheap and shit
2. it doesnt line up

well its cheap but not shit. its pretty decent. the power gains are veeery noticeable and when u replace the manifold with the obx, your taking a cat off since they are attached together in the engine bay sooo lots of gains. expect to drive with a check engine light on.

now the problems with the install. the head gasket is perfect no flaws. the bends are perfect. the sensor location is perfect. NOW the issue is the bottom flange. it needs to be rotated about 2 inches up.
i took it to a local muffler shop that i have hook ups wth and
1.they cut the old down pipe off and made a new one.
2.adapted a flange on there from a scrap piece they had layin around cus they dont throw their stuff away
3.made a new down pipe
4.welded it onto the new flange.
5. done

so i kept my old manifold just in case i need it later. if i need to put it back on all i have to do is bolt it up and reweld it to the old stock exhaust pipe thats down there. thats all. about a 80 dollar job.

oh btw the jp performance header are 350 bucks and do not fit.

looks good!
thanks for the info! very helpful stuff

for once a productive newbie....welcome to TN!

yes the tails off an 05 SE will fit the 03....i also have an 03 SE and have been looking into 05 SE tails...the wires stretch just enough to fit the different configuration of the 05+ tails. mounts are all exactly the same.

thanks alot guys! appreciate the comments.
oh and thanks for the info corcamryse!! really appreciate it

the sound is pretty nice. changes the tone a bit actually. the sound is a lot throatier and well it sounds meaner. i have a stock exhaust so my car is quiet minus the intake but from the inside and outside it sounds much meaner. veeery pleasing! not ricey!

power gains from 3,000rpm to red seriously im not joking. but i have the intake and header.

any more questions?

so i take it you're driving around with a check-engine light on?

the header looks good. i didn't know that the obx didn't line up. so i could theoretically just get a cheapo dc tC header and do a custom mid-pipe since i'd be doing that for the obx as well. where did you get your injen btw? and what price? i'm looking into the injen right now. i see that you also kept the intake ducting. does the end of that ducting route directly to the opening of the heat shield? if so, then i'm sold.

if your CEL is always on, how will you know when something actually does malfunction that would otherwise trigger an unlit CEL?

well id rather have an old thread bumped as opposed to having a useless new one about a previously covered topic.
