Has anyone experienced uneven tire wear with lowering springs, since that changes the camber angle slightly?
I know my friend's father warned him of this because he had his car lowered and found the inner sides were wearing faster.
Which brings me to my next question - What is the advantage to having directional tread on your tires? Directional tread stops you from being able to rotate your tires (left to right), so you couldn't maximize the lifespan of your tires if there was uneven wear.
If you lower your car, you will get uneven tire wear taking into consideration that you didn't get an alignment. You need to get an alignment after you lower your car. I would get your springs installed. Drive the car for about a couple of weeks to let the springs settle and adapt on your vehicle then get an alignment. Without the alignment, you will get some camber issues. Hope this helps. Good luck.
yea dont waste your time trying to get more life out of your tires for free.. its just time consuming and doesnt work.. i know people that turn their tires inside out and what not.. rotating it lots.. its just best to get the camber corrected.. even if a camber kit is needed..
dont do springs without an alignment
its not the lowering springs that cause the uneven tire wear, its simply the fact the alignment is off, which causes uneven wear if the camber is off.
i have TRD springs and i aligned my car right after installation and everything works perfect
I too aligned the car right after the install. I did go back and have them double check the car 4 months later though. By the looks of my new alignment report, it looks like it did change a bit but was still within range. If you have your car aligned properly, and maintain it that way I dont see why you would have uneven wear.

+1
did you guys have to pay extra to get the camber corrected? since it may need shims and or bolts?
I did not have to pay anything extra other than a standard 4-wheel alignment. My shop even did it twice for one price, once right after the install and then again 2 weeks later after the springs settled. (they did the second alignment under their "satisfaction guaranteed" policy.)

I had my wheels aligned several days after getting the springs installed, although looking at my tires now I do have some uneven wear, mainly on the left side of the car. I guess i'll be needing another alignment once spring comes around..
