Does your car have a passenger airbag sensor? (A light on the dash that comes on when someone is in the front passenger seat- saying either Airbag On or Airbag Off)
If it does, all that jumping around might have disconnected a sensor. You could try digging around down there and trying to see if you could reconnect it, or you might be forced to take it to the dealer and have them see what they will need to fix it.
Lesson to be learned: Don't let your "fat cuzin" back into your car until he/she can act like a civilized human being.
