5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I just got my new wheels installed at the dealer today (they are nice enough to swap out the wheels in place of a tire rotation at no charge), they are the stock '07 SE wheels. These are going to be my new winter wheels, instead of my steelies with hubcaps. I bought them for $250 with tires (thanks fdexclpl!!!), I already love them. I actually enjoy looking at my car now, especially since it stands out more then the 90% of other CE/LE Camry's.
The car is a bit dirty even after going to the wash, but the roads are still messy.
Are you referring to the old stock steelies with hubcaps, or the rims in my sig? The stock steelies are currently sitting in the back seat (part of the reason it looks really low in the rear), but I will be moving them into the garage shortly. The wheels that are in my sig have summer tires on them, so I wont run with those until late spring/summer.

Thanks. I don't like the emergency lights that are on the roof or ones that are colored, I prefer to have it very discrete
how do you keep your car so clean in the winter. ive got a white ce and it just looks like a dirty snowball going down the road all the time. i try to wash it once a week if i can but it's sometimes more like once a month.
if its not covered in dirt all winter its covered in bugs all summer

Those are some good looking winter wheels!! I remember the thread about how much to charge...fdexclpl...gave you a great deal!!! I have some SE wheels that will be going on my Barcelona Red Camry when I shave some more miles of my stock tires. I am still undecided on the brand tire I will be going with.....Looks Great!!!!!
does your friend have anymore SE stock wheels and tires for the same price. i'll take them off his hands. n o ya i like the painted calibers
This was his only pair, sorry. And thanks for the comment, the red calipers were actually painted during the summer, and i'm going to be painting them silver in the spring most likely, as I kinda grew away from the painted stock calipers.

Thanks, red really does stand out, especially in the white snow. Also in the green of summer (see my sig in the first post).

hehe, my car is usually a mess, but I try to hit the car wash every 4-5 days. I had just went to the wash before taking these photos, but the roads were still wet/salty/slushy so it got a bit dirty on the way home.

I agree, I've already noticed a difference on dry pavement with these Toyo's vs the Michelin's I had on my steelies.
And Paul, I was worried that the dealer would just put the dirty steel wheels in the back seat and get the seats all dirty, but they actually took the time to put them back in the bags and they even put the hubcaps in a new bag, talk about great service! I wanted to put the wheels on myself, but I was at 19,400 miles so I just decided to get an early oil change and have them put on the new wheels.
