Audio Inquiry

Just wanted to know if this was possible or worth the time/cost:

I wanted to get some more power from my stock speakers. I know that replacing the speakers would be an option and I'm open to that. However, I was wondering if it's possible to run an amplifier that would power all the speakers instead of running power from the main deck. Would this increase sound quality at all?
I'm really not into putting a subwoofer(s) in the car, at least for now. I don't want that hard hitting bass sound, just a little extra boost possibly.

Any suggestions and/or comments are welcome.

The car is a '08 SE by the way.

Thanks.

if u amplify the stock speakers they wil most likley blow, better off just buying a set of aftermarket speakers and getting those amplified. its your best bet cuz stock speakers never sound that good wen u turnit up loud unles u got a audio package wit ur car or somthin.

there's no actual point in amplifying the power to the stock speakers. like stevey said, it will most likely blow. better to save up and invest in a set of good speakers than have to get an amp to power stocks. in the end, the stock speakers would just seem louder but not really crisper or brighter, plus you would have more chances of getting distortion and other undesirable noises from it.
