i live in san jose also. My mileage is bad at times. i think mostly when i take local going to school downtown i get around 18-20 mpg. stop n go at every light. but then again, i get frustrated and my foot gets heavy.

like someone said earilier, try to keep ur rpms low,even tho its hard when u have a heavy 4 banger
