I had my all-weather driver's mat replaced about a month ago. The dealer had to order it. It took the dealer 2 or 3 days to get it in. The new mat is just a bit shorter than the old mat at the front, where it starts to go up the firewall a bit. I would say it's about 2 or 3 inches shorter. If I had it to do over again, I would keep the original all-weather mat. It covers more area up front.

Installation

From what I read, the recall had more to do with making sure the all wather mat is NOT on top of the carpeted mat, and that the clip is being used.

Pretty much all all weather mats now WARN you to NOT install the drivers mat on top of a carpeted mat, and of course to use the clip.

The all weather mat can slip up under the pedals if just placed over the carpeted mat, on all cars.

In our sue happy society, someone that owns a Lexus complained when their rubber mat slipped up under the pedals. Instead of using common sense, most people would rather die then jjst put the mat in properly IF NOT instructed to do so. Most people will still throw their rubber mats on top of a carpeted one, even with the warnings.
