I've had the Flowmaster's on my I4 for awhile now and after almost a year of driving it, I need to remove it. The sound has gotten too repetitive and I set off alarms when I'm in a parking structure. Would anyone know a particular brand that produces more of a hoarse sounding note, like the G35/350 or similar? Something with little to no drone. Thanks
I think it sounds alright. But if you want something quieter, you could get an oval magnaflow muffler. I had two installed but they were way too quiet for my liking. I currently have an Apexi N1 cat-back system. It's still not loud enough, but the sound does resemble a 350Z at certain RPM's.
I like the Dynomax Super Turbo. Its also fairly inexpensive. Ive had one on cars in the past, It was decent.

I set off an alarm today as well... hahaha... All i did was start the car
add/change a resonator to your muffler setup. i've seen this work before to keep the note just dim it down a bit. obviously there would be more flow restriction, but with a 4 banger, it's not like you'll be doing any drag racing so no worries.

Lol yeah it gets annoying...when you have a trail of cars behind you and you're looking for parking meanwhile setting off all the alarms as you pass parked cars...
Johnnyzee you're saying I should add an extra resonator? Im curious as to how the Dynomax and Apexi would sound on my car...any more suggestions? Thanks everyone btw
