5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I have Camry GEN 6 SE Type 2AZ-FE ARL/UAE this mean for United Arab Emirates
They have METER like 1st picture Without Multi-information display
question: Can I change my METER Without Multi-information display on METER Whis Multi-information display Without negative consequences???? like 2nd picture???
I suppose it's possible, but it's more than just the instrument display -- there must be sensors and connections that need to be made to provide the information that the thing displays.
Let me tell you, though, I just went from an XLE, with the multi-information display, to an SE, that lacks it. The opposite of what you're talking about. So, do I miss it?
Well, as others have mentioned, the MPG calculation is never correct, reading somewhere more than 1.5 MPH than you're actually getting. As for the Cruising Range, I went 40 miles beyond the point where it showed "zero," and still had more than a gallon left in the tank.
So, "why bother" with all of this information, when it's not really accurate at all? I'm doing quite well without it -- no problem at all.

you are so right. why go through all the hassle to have one of these just to
get inaccurate readings. totally not worth it.
yesturday I spoke with Official TOYOTA Statiton, They have told that it is possible to change, But there can be a difference depending on the country of the manufacturer of the cars
I hope everything will be all right and there will be no problems whis METER
Tomorrow I shall go to change the METER. I shall necessarily write, how I established, and I shall show photos of installation
