5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
So I finally got my RK-Sport body kit installed over the weekend. Many thanks again to Trojan for helping me get this project accomplished. I don't know about others that have this kit, but the fit isn't as good as I would have liked. The front and rear pieces are fine, but the side rockers leave too much of a gap between the bottom of the front doors and the top of the rockers. Also, the mounting holes for the rockers are in places that you can't get to with a power drill unless you remove the doors. And then they didn't provide a grommet for using the factory mounting holes in the front wheel wells (plus you have to take a best guess to use the rear wheel well mounting hole). But the car definitely looks better with the kit installed, I'm still very happy with the finished product!
I still have the extra set of RK-Sport rocker panels available for free (+shipping) to anybody that wants them. See this thread to read about the history of those rockers and then PM me if you are interested. Shipping within CA will be about $50, slightly higher elsewhere. So much for my Hybrid "S-Edition"
So it was raining all weekend, and the car is really dirty, but I took a few photos to share. I'll take better photos once the weather improves and I can wash the car. Next up will be the fog lights, and then hopefully I can save up enough money to black chrome my wheels!

I'm thinking about getting the fake pipe for the left hole. Too expensive to cover it up or get a real (custom) dual-exhaust. For now I'm leaving it empty and see how much it bothers me.
And I didn't take a phto of the passenger side where I have the NY Giants baby shade.

Hmmm, I'm thinking the most logical thing to do with the left exhaust port is to cover it up with a port hole. Don't you guys think all Camry's should have port holes on them?

Somebody on this forum was selling a fake Razzi tailpipe after he decided not to use it. That was a long time ago and I can't find the post, so hopefully that person is reading this and still wants to sell that tailpipe. PM me!!!

Hey no problem bro. Great to see that your kit is finally finished. Fitment looks great. The kit along with the GS wheels now really set your car off. Were you planning on going with the SE grille? I personally would keep the Hybrid chrome grille on.
Great job. I really commend you for sticking to this project despite some frustrations. The output turned out great That is what a Hy-Cam should look like, but alas Toyota would never make one like yours. You are a true pioneer, buddy... Keep up the good work. BTW, what is your measured ground clearance with the kit? and do you expect it to impact FE positively or negatively? And don't cover up that port hole, just put on a fake tip and consider it a dual exhaust Hy-Cam... hehehehe....
