5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
The other day I slid off the road in my 07 camry SE, went over a big lump of ice and broke the corner off the front lip of my camry. I was lucky it was right below the fog light and I didn't break the light. So now, the car is totally lopsided with a chunk of the plastic of the front lip broken off.
I stopped and picked the piece of lip off the road. I went to toyota today to price the lip and they quoted me 300 cdn dollars and "unknown" amount of hours to put it on at 75 dollars per hour.
I don't want to spend this cash and the piece broken off is no bigger than 10 inches x 3.5 inches. Is there a way to glue the thing on?, or is there a place that can paste it back on the lip?, will it fall off again if so?, am I doomed?, damn the crazy winters in canada. Thanks for the input folks.
well, you can get the razzi front lip? I'm pretty sure it covers the bolt holes that the SE kit leaves behind. 300 from toyota for a stock SE actually sounds pretty good coming from a dealership. i expected around 500.

$300 is acceptable. I recommend actually buying the thing from the dealer (make sure it's painted) and then maybe have a well-known body shop put the thing on.
The body shop won't necessarily have much cheaper hourly rates, but they won't try to charge you some crazy 3 hours of work or whatever.

I just bought some LePage® PL Premium Polyurethane Adhesive. The guy at home depot swore it's the strongest adhesive out there and water proof. Now I need to get the car off the ground so I can properly put the piece back on and hold it while the adhesive dries. Has anyone used this adhesive????
