Gen5 Door speakers...

Hey everybody, I'm replacing my entire stereo system today and just took off the front door panels. I thought they were supposed to be 6.5's, but look more like 6x9's. I am using some Kenwood Excelon KFC-X1710P 6.5 speakers with the separate tweeters. Will these fit/work? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

-Chris

Yes, this will work but you will need brackets for the front speakers.

^+1 to that...also if you have the extra dough sound dampening material on the inside of the door cage and outer portion of it really helps.

if you do build your own, just be sure that thw speaker hole fits all the way around tightly.you must isolate the front and rear sound waves to achieve proper sound.
