5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I was thinking some type of small stripe going down the side, maybe a little bit of a design to it, but nothing extreme. (i don't even have the side moldings on my car). One website had some stripes...phoenixgraphix.com
Basically I'm trying to add a little color to my car, light gray and chrome = boring.
IMHO i hate those vinyls on the cars. makes it look cheap and desperate to stand out or something. although i like those racing stripes down the middle of a mustang or MINI-S those look pretty sweet.

Those do look good, especially on the newer generation of Mustangs. Although it looks hideous on most other cars, such as mid-90's Neon's, Escort's, and other econo-boxes.
neons and escorts? maybe the new srt-4 but haha mid 90's? maybe im thinking of the wrong cars but anywaysss racing stripes on mustangs are sex. pureeee hardcore status
The vinyl is easy to remove, will not damage the paint.
The net effect is that the area covered by the vinyl does not "fade/oxidize" over time like the rest of the paint. On a metallic paint job, after you remove the vinyl, you may have to buff the car to get rid of the noticable difference. Even non-metallic paint oxidizes, so the longer you leave it on the more likely that the paint it is covering will look better then the rest of the car (again after removal of the vinyl).

I'm referring to cars like these:
That doesn't look too horrible, but I've seen ones in much older/crappier looking cars.
I know, which was my point. Those "racing stripes" really only look good on certain cars such as the newer gen Mustang. It looks horrible on the Neon's.
