Can anyone help me install my GENTEX 453 . Its the new one with compass and homelink. It comes with a 10 pin harness connecter but the colors of the wires are not the yellow, red, etc. like everyone elses. My harness came with 1 black wire with a white stripe and 2 black wires. Would anyone be able to tell me which pin needs to go where? A picture of the harness showing the colors and pin positions would help too. Thanks if anyone could help! BTW, I look on the thread with the autodimming mirror install but it doesnt show the harness w wires.
I tried but GENTEX doesnt have info for this because its an OEM from Subaru. I tried calling subaru but they say just plug the harness to the connector (obviously the camry doesnt have the same connecter) . People from this forum had said that this mirror from subaru will work the toyota but i cant figure out the wiring schematics.

May I suggest buying this or contacting seller for pin outs.
I connected mine [both 12v sources] to the input wiring that feeds the remote mirror switch. I didn't want it on all of the time. (Added security for the HomeLink, can't get access with the ignition off!!)
Good Luck!!!!...

Thats exactly what I needed! I tried contacting the seller last week but they haven't responded. I didnt want to buy it since I already have a brand new harness w black wires. If you have this same harness, would you be able to tell me which wire goes to which pin? I'll appreciate it if you could help.

I will look at the connector on the back of my mirror tonight, when I get home.

Pulled the connector. The ten pin socket only uses 3 wires. Looking at the connector from where the wires enter, bottom row [opposite the release tab] Left = Yellow = HomeLink power
Space
Center = Black = Ground
Space
Right = Red = Mirror power/compass
I didn't use numbers, couldn't read them. I hope this helps!!!!....

Ok guys, I just got the 453 (out of a Nissan I was told), but what I found was going with the same view, looking where wires enter and release up.
Left bottom is power for compass Right bottom is power for Homelink Center top is ground
I didn't do a full install to check if that covers the auto dimmer, but i assume it does.
Mine also has two other wires and one should be to "cool" the darking when you're backing up (which goes to the reverse light wire), the other, I have no clue!
This is my first post and I am a Camry owner so and have been since 2002, so go Toyota!
