Gen6 Headlights getting dimmer??

I started noticing about 5 months ago that the headlights (Hi/Low) on my '07 Carmry have been getting dimmer over time. Is this normal?? If not, what could be the cause?

Thanks.

Halogen bulbs slowly get dimmer over time, Not a noticeable amount though.

I figured they would but I can really tell a difference. My low beams are like fog lights and my highs are now like the way the low beams were.

I do have 45K miles on my '07 so I guess I'd better just replace them to see if it's just the bulbs. Man these Silverstar H11's and 9005 are expensive.

Make sure you don't have condensation building up inside. You could also need to polish the outside.

I got the car at the end of 9/06, but with all the times the cars been in the shop, it's more like I got it at end of 10/06.

Yuppers.... I do put a lot of miles on my vehicles. Freaken OPEC loves me but I hate them!

I put 33k on my Cam between 4/06 and 6/07. Since then I have put less than 2k on her.

I purposely have left my OEM bulbs alone based on previous experience. Whenever I had 'played around' with lighting, the bulb life sucks. I will wait until the OEM's go dead before replacing them.

If you have like 10-11 volts going to them, they will be dim.

One way trip to the office is around 60 miles. That's the majority, but I have to drive to do most anything. I live in a county that doesn't even have a movie theater. Grocery store is aprox 10 miles away and pretty much everything else is like a 20+ mile drive.

It's nice to be in the country, but it's a PITA when you need something.

If it's a voltage issue, what do I need to look at, is there a voltage regulator I should take a measurement from?

BTW, I ordered the SilverStars (H11 and 9005SU). Man these 9005SU's are expensive for them just being halogen bulbs.

Thanks!
