5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I probably know the answer after days searching for it....my problem: I want to make the front and back of the car with the same color lights. I like the clean look and therefore I am a bit skeptical of going smoke/black (but, it's an option). I am afraid the smoke/JDM black looks to aggressive/racy. So, I am looking for clear, Euro style tail lights for the Gen6 but can't absolute find any. Does anybody has an idea? My ideal would be clear tail lights with LED...oh well, at least I can wish.
ooo that sounds interesting, the closet thing to that is like the Hybid LEDs taillights but i kno thats not what u want....iono sounds like a project u can do n a lot of money lol
but good luck keep us posted!

Mmm... not sure if I'm feelin' that. If they ever do come out and you decide you still want them, make sure they're not APC "Euro" lights... the ugly ones.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

Yes - I will. I see these every day on the Toyota Reiz (aka Mark built on IS platform). They have the LED version, i.e. no internal red bulb cover but simply red LED's, which are white when not on. Looks awesome, clean. Oh, btw, basically all Camry's/Aurion's here have LED tails and HID heads...why is Toyota punishing us in the US

PS: I am not 100% sure either between clear or JDM....just worry how all smoke/JDM black would look all around on my already black Camry (with black tint soon)....
If you're up to the task and know how to make lenses (or if you can get them made) and know your way around LED arrays, you can always try tackling the job yourself. It'd be a pretty unique (and probably awesome) project.

Yes, unfortunately, I have very limited time to do such stuff. But maybe I can put something in motion here (I am in the land of low labor ). ...so, anybody has some old tails for taking prints? Aka - LED, we design ton's of staff like that just not for automobile industry. The easiest would be to have an old, maybe broken Hybrid tail....
take apart your tails and take the red lens out... our outer lens are already clear, so without the red lens, only the chrome will show... an option
Tempting, thanks. Is the inner red lens (is that than really a lens?) somehow glued to the outer? I guess if I do that I would need to still cover the bulbs to comply to the red tail requirement?! Correct? Never took one of these apart...
