The 45 sidewall will give you a more comfortable ride due to a larger/thicker sidewall of the tire. Roadnoise is usually due to the design of the tires and more important from the manufactor of the tires.

and think of it this way too. you wouldnt want to cheapen out on tires. that's your car's grip on the road. cheap tires might cause your car to lose grip depending on the weather.
surely you dont want to risk lives over a few hundreds right?

i found it at discount tire direct, but at the local discount tires is 619.30, ima just order and have it mount and blance there.

Yes, you can feel the different from 40 to 45.
If you see my car site you will see I had the few set of wheels/tires.
1. 245-40-18 stock springs (2nd most comfortable)
2. 245-35-20 stock springs (least comfortable)
3. 235-45-18 stock springs (most comfortable)
4. 235-45-18 lowered w/ Eibach springs (3rd most comfortable)
