Why would you be more likely to be pulled over for having 8K or 10K (ricer) outputs.

Your not blinding anyone, right?
Because at least in Florida, there is a statute that says something like "you must have white headlights". "You cannot have any blue light showing or displayed on vehicle". "Also you can only have 2 fog type lights" I think that as long as you are not glaring, color shouldn't matter but thats the law...

Use this as reference or ask your local highway patrol. That is how I found this:

http://www.leg.state.fl.us/Statutes/...EChapter%20316. Start with statutes 316.217 and go through 316.2397.

Thats all good, and I'm sure that is part of the reason cops pull people over. But the main reason is that aftermarket HID is not DOT approved. Use of HID in a vehicle that does not come equipped with them from stock is illegal. A projector retrofit is also illegal to use on the road. However, when HIDs are done properly, cops aren't instantly attracted to them. If they look like they might have come with the car, cops don't care.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

Exactly, regardless of DOT approved or not. The officers are only looking for what is appears to be hazardous or colors that are strictly prohibited by statute. They really could care less if the light is dot approved but you have it aimed so high that is blinds other drivers etc..

Question

Does the camry need the relay harness when you buy this product from mod express?

It's like an extra 10 bucks.

When I get it I am just going to follow the directions and plug and play hopefully. But I dont know if I need the relay harness?

Anyone who has bought this product from them know?

^I'm not picking on you guys but honestly it seems like neither one of you know what HID is or how it works and you don't seem to know what projectors are either. This is what a cutoff line looks like. A cutoff line is nowhere in your avatar.

You have to shine your headlights against a viewable surface such as a wall to see a clear cutoff line. It is the point where the light from your headlights end and the darkness begins, hence the term cutoff. And yes it is a good idea to use a relay harness to be safe and not burn up your stock wiring.

he meant he took a front view picture of his car where the cutoff is directed. That's why his stock bulbs look blue.

^If that's what he means, then it makes sense. Otherwise, my comments still apply.

^Cameras can have that affect too but anyways.....that's not even important. I'm glad you understand what you are talking about. Some guys really have no clue. And yeah, 4300k is definitely the best way to go.
