WTF!!!! new trd gas cap wont fit!!!

Hey guys I just got my trd gas cap cover for my 05 se v6 and its not fitting. I did order the usa model but it was in japanese writing on the back of the cover. something is not right. if anybody has this please let me know what i have to do. It looks like the top piece of the original gas cover comes off and there is something under it that the cover goes on. please help thanks!!!

The same thing happened to me. I modified my gas cap so that the cover would fit onto it and then expoxied the cover to it. You have to be really careful not to damage the internals of the gas cap though. You really have to grind a lot off to get it to work.

If yours is the same one as mine, it doesn't fit.

That's not true at all. See, you don't know me very well. I frequently open the fuel door, grab the TRD cap with one hand, my no-no area in the other, and sing "Mary Had A Little Lamb" until I feel satisfied.
