Australia INDOMI Camry Gen6 (more update on page 4)

Hey guys,

this will be my first time posting pictures of my car here in TN, but first let me just intro myself briefly

My name is Raymond and im 23 now, I originally come from Indonesia but I live in Melbourne Australia now. The camry is actually my second attempt to modify a car, before I drove a 2000 Mitsu Lancer, pics below

I just suddenly lost my interest in the Lancer, sold it and got myself a camry. The camry is still pretty much stock right now as you can see below, there are some minor mods here and there

custom dual exhaust tip, no muffler though, so no sound, i like it quite

Somehow i think the exhaust tip looks a bit funny, not sure maybe it will look better when the car is slammed

I also installed JVC touch screen headunit with scosche bezel, bad fitment though, regreted buying scosche

but boy look what just showed up at the door today!!!

After a stupidly 3 months long wait, my wheels are finally here
Spec is 20x8 et 35 front, and 20x9.5 et 30 rear in hyper black finish

close up

The dish in the rear is as big as my palm

To be honest im not sure if those wheels are gonna fit, hopefully these little things can make them snuggle nicely under the fender

I have a few other stuff waiting to be installed but i need to find the time to install them

9" headrest monitors

Soundstream Tarantula and RF x6

- 2x12" Alpine type R
- Entrance lights (vip style)
- 8 meters long of suede look fabrics
- Led bulbs etc

Well im gonna mount the tires for the wheels tomorrow and hopefully get the car lowered by monday, so hopefully you guys dont mind if I stick around in this forum, really getting alot of useful knowledge from the members

Cheers

There is a user here named Tonyishurr, and he's on 20x8.5 all around with a higher offset than yours. He's not even dropped and he rubs in the rear.

I'm almost 99% that you'll rub like CRAZY in, even without the drop...

Yeah im pretty sure they will rub but i will go 225/35/20 at the rear and the camber bolts will give me extra 1-2 degrees minus camber at the rear, plus im gonna roll and pull the fenders slightly, hopefully they can fit

i prefer footbrakes actually, makes the car look a lot cleaner, just look at how toyota placed the handbrake, I cant even reach it from the driver side lol silly

dang. Actually, it will be close... We'll see of the outcome. If you do pull this off, you'll be the pioneer of big rim and big offset on a Gen6

Welcome and we like to see the step by step process! You certainly have some work to be done...Let me know your video configuration, I am planning this as well for my youngsters.
Are these 20''s the same style as on your Lancer? I think you are one of the few to attempt to pull your fenders. Good luck man.

hooking up the headrests are actually pretty simple, bought them off ebay and everything you need is included except 1 RCA cable to connect the headrests to my headunit.

As for the wheels, my old lancer was using lowenhart LDR copies and for the camy ive got iForged Variant 2pc wheels, they are actually pretty light as well for 20"

your steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car!!!! ahhh!!!!

p.s. youre right about the e-brake placement, you would think they would mirror that console with the steering wheel.. oh well

Thanks. Oh, I forgot you got the aftermarket headunit...I need to be a bit more creative to get Video on my front NAV screen and hide the extra DVD player somewhere in reach of the driver seat. Thanks anyway. We look forward to see the mod'ed Camry.

yes, if you post your offset on VIPstylecars.com, a +30 will get murdered and you better get your flame suit on! most of those guys run with 0 offsets actually or below. i recall some have extreme offsets. an aristo there had like 18x12 -6 for the rears.

keep us posted on this. im highly interested in how your fender pulling will turn out. looks like you are going for a vip-inspired ride judging from what you did with the lancer. front kit of that looks like a FABULOUS front bumper/kit.
