Rocker Moulding!!!!!!

Sooo today after making a sharp turn, the curb ripped off my side skirt on my 07 SE.....After getting in estimate its suppose to be around 1200! One does anyone know where i can get this part other than toyota. Two it just might be cheaper to get a whole new body kit that will replace everything. BUT i got the SE for the body kit it had on it. Any advice or suggestions. Any websites that sell this part. ANYTHING! Sigh....

$215 + shipping but then you need it painted with a flex additive - $150-225.

Still not cheap.........

http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...07&catalogid=2

and in the USA, it's spelled molding.

I appreciate the help. Its Grey SE and as a side note: According to the actual part its Rocker MOULDING.
MOULDING:a decorative strip used for ornamentation or finishing
MOLDING:the act or process of molding

Page ET-42 of the "Exterior" service manual also refers to the rocker panel MOULDING.

Molding

Definition: 1. decorative strip: a strip of wood or another material used to decorate or finish a surface of a wall or a piece of furniture
2. something made in mold: something produced using a mold

Moulding - the Canadian/UK spelling of Molding

The Service Manual was clearly not US written but the Parts List is correct!!!

who the hell cares how its spelled?!? it makes no difference... jeez

to the OP, you may also try www.toyotapartsales.com similiar if not exactly the same pricing as autopartspeople, but shipping may be cheaper.

i'd go this route... its not cheap like njerald says, but its certainly cheaper than having toyota fix it.

You can look at my car or Trojans to see how the Razzi's look or look at Flopshot how the RKsport's look like. Depending who you asked one looks more close to the OEM SE than the other...

(...let's call them "side skirts", will you )

my bad, its a rocker molding or, moulding. isnt something molding when it's in the refridgerator too long? oh well...

I was just asking for the OP becasue maybe he could pull off buying one of those as a replacement, or a set if it's cheaper. unless they have the tabs like the bumpers. i dont konw, just brainstorming. definitely wouldnt spend 1200 on that though

Yep, he could by a set of pre-painted Razzi side skirts and install them in minutes. Will fit, has the OEM matching color, and nobody will ever recognize - my guess.

When ordering the rocker molding- you must specify color--- doesn't that mean it comes pre-painted?
